10 EDUCATIONAL GRANTS TO STUDY IN THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN

Within the framework of the Agreement between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of education, the Azerbaijani Government offers citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan 10 educational grants for the 2024-2025 academic year according to the following programs:

• Bachelor's degree (5 spots)
• Master's degree (5 spots)

Language of instruction: Azerbaijani or English. Preparatory courses are available for students who need to improve their language skills. Course duration is 6 months to 1 year, determined by the university.

English language requirements (for English programs):

• Bachelor's: IELTS 5.0 (out of 9.0) or TOEFL 40 (out of 120)
• Master's: IELTS 5.5 (out of 9.0) or TOEFL 50 (out of 120)

Candidates choose 3 universities and majors from the proposed list at their discretion.

Grant covers:

• Free tuition
• Monthly stipend
• Medical insurance

Students are responsible for covering all other expenses, including travel.

Application process:

• Online via the e-Government portal (eGov.kz)
• In person at the CMP office in Astana (July 19th, 9:00 AM to July 29th, 6:30 PM)

Documents required by the Center for International Programs JSC:

1. Completed application form (Appendix No. 1)
2. Copy of ID or passport (original or notarized copy required for in-person submissions)
3. Educational documents
4. Document confirming foreign language proficiency (if applicable, original required for verification)
5. Document confirming foreign language proficiency is not required if the university offers language training.
6. Document confirming English proficiency (at least IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 46) OR diploma/transcript proving prior studies in English (original required for verification). The host university's English requirements may supersede these.
7. Copies of diplomas, certificates, or awards related to your chosen field of study (if applicable)
8. Notarized consent from legal representative (required for applicants under 18)
9. Original document proving status (if applicable):

• Orphans/abandoned children: Document confirming absence of parents (original returned after verification)
• Disabled individuals: Disability certificate (Order No. 44) and medical certificate (form No. 072/u)
• Children from large families: Copy of birth certificate for 4+ minor children living together (original returned after verification)
• Children from rural areas: Proof of residence from relevant government databases

10. Copy of invitation from foreign university with notarized translation into Kazakh (if available)
11. Notarized power of attorney (required if someone else is submitting your application)
12. In accordance with article 4 of the Law "On Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the state language of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the Kazakh language. The State language is the language of public administration, legislation, judicial proceedings and record keeping, operating in all spheres of public relations throughout the territory of the state. In this regard, a copy of the invitation from a foreign university must be translated into the official language.

A PACKAGE OF DOCUMENTS IN RUSSIAN OR ENGLISH

1. A questionnaire in Russian or English, filled out in block letters with a photo attached in the upper right corner according to the form according to Appendix No. 2 (Application form for Azerbaijan) printed and signed by the applicant;
2. A clear scanned copy of the passport;
3. A copy of the document on education, based on which admission to study is carried out, and an appendix to it.
4. Certificate of general health - 0.72 y (including HIV tests/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C);
5. CV or Resume;
6. Motivation letter;
7. In the case of studying in English, a valid certificate (IELTS for bachelor's degree -5.0, for master's degree – 5.5; TOEFL for bachelor's degree - 40, for Master's degree - 50);
