10 EDUCATIONAL GRANTS FOR STUDYING IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
Ten educational grants for Kazakh citizens have been allocated by universities in the Kyrgyz Republic. Under the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on Cooperation in the Field of Education dated July 4, 2006, the Kyrgyz Government provides 10 educational grants to citizens of Kazakhstan for the 2024-2025 academic year in the following specialties and programs:
- Technical specialties – 4 places (Bachelor's – 2, Master's – 2);
- Medical specialties – 3 places (Specialist/Residency);
- Humanities and Economics specialties – 3 places (Bachelor's – 2, Master's – 1).
The language of instruction is Russian and Kyrgyz.
The grant covers the following expenses:
- Free tuition;
- Monthly stipend.
Note! All other expenses, including transportation, are to be covered by the grant recipient.
The document submission period starts on July 1 and ends on July 12.
Documents can be submitted in person at the office of the "Center for International Programs" in Astana until July 12 (from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM) or online through the Electronic Government portal - egov.kz.
The document package must include:
- Completed application form for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Completed application form for admission to universities in the Kyrgyz Republic.
- Current resume in Russian or English.
- Copy of identity card and passport (original or notarized copies required for verification if submitted in person).
- Educational document.

- If the applicant has not yet received the official educational document at the time of application, a transcript certified by the educational institution can be submitted.
- Medical certificate for those traveling abroad.
- Certificate of absence of HIV/AIDS.
- Motivation essay in Russian or English.
- Recommendation letter in Russian or English.
- Certificate of no criminal record.
- Family composition certificate.
- Certificates, awards, diplomas confirming academic achievements of the candidates (if available).
- Copies of certificates, awards, diplomas related to the chosen field of study obtained for participation in national or international level events (if available).
- Written consent of the legal representative (parents, adoptive parents, guardians, foster parents, patronage educators) for sending the applicant abroad for studies (for those under 18 years old).
- Original document confirming the status (if applicable) of:
- Orphaned children and children left without parental care – copy of the document confirming the absence of parents (original returned to the applicant after verification);
- Disabled children and children with disabilities – original disability certificate as per the form approved by the Order of the Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 30, 2015 No. 44 "On Approval of the Rules for Conducting Medical and Social Examination" (registered in the State Registration Register of Normative Legal Acts No. 10589) (original returned to the applicant after verification);
- Children from large families – original birth certificate of four or more cohabiting minor children or copy of court decision on adoption, address certificates for all cohabiting minor children (original returned to the applicant after verification).
- Copy of the invitation from the foreign university with notarized translation into the state language (if available).
- If documents are submitted by a third party – the original notarized power of attorney from the applicant authorizing the representative to submit documents for the competitive selection.
