For the 2025-2026 academic year, 250 educational grants are being offered under the Stipendium Hungaricum program, as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. The grants are distributed as follows:
Recipients of grants in the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and combined programs are required to complete a Hungarian language course during their first academic year, provided by the host university. An examination must be passed at the end of the second semester (with exceptions for those studying in Hungarian). Scholarship holders who do not attend the language course will not be eligible to receive the full monthly stipend.

The Grant Covers:
Tuition fees: Full coverage
Monthly stipend: Bachelor’s and Master’s programs: HUF 43,700. Doctoral program: HUF 140,000 for the first four semesters and HUF 180,000 for the last four semesters.
Accommodation: Dormitory housing or a monthly housing allowance of approximately HUF 40,000
Medical insurance
Note: Any additional expenses are the responsibility of the grant holder.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applications will not be accepted from candidates born after August 31, 2007 (applicants must be at least 18 years old by August 31, 2025), except for those applying for the “Dance Study” specialization.
Important: Online registration must be completed at apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu by January 15, 2025.
Acceptance of documents will be carried out from November 25, 2024 to January 17, 2025 inclusive through the portal “Electronic Government” (Egov.kz) https://egov.kz/cms/ru/services/higher_education/pass_203_mon. To submit documents through the e-Government portal, you need an EDS, which can be obtained remotely. To read the instructions for obtaining an EDS online (remotely), follow the link https://egov.kz/cms/ru/services/pass_onlineecp. If you have any difficulties in obtaining electronic services, you can contact the virtual operator using the previous link or use a free call to the Contact Center at 1414.

Based on the results of the selection process, lists of recommended applicants will be sent to the receiving party, who will make the final decision.

According to subparagraph 4) of paragraph 21 provides for the mandatory return of the winner of the competition to the Republic of Kazakhstan after the completion of academic study abroad and the implementation of continuous labor activity with a period of 1 (one) year.
