In 2018, Adat Adilkhan studied "Construction Management" in the UK through the "Bolashak" program. Upon returning to Kazakhstan, Adat participated in the construction of the first modern modular factory, ModeX, which enabled the construction of an infectious disease hospital in just 3 weeks. He admits that his ultimate dream is to contribute to the implementation of significant infrastructure projects in our country.
"London impressed me with its magnificent buildings. Each country is remembered for its unique architecture.
I realized that more important to me than architectural features is how long and how well buildings serve people. It was at that time the pandemic began, and many of our fellow citizens were struggling with breathing and access to medical care. We know that due to the lack of hospital beds, some people could not receive the necessary help and died at home...
Remembering those events is very difficult in itself.
During the most challenging time in the country, my knowledge gained abroad was truly tested. In Kazakhstan, the first modern modular factory, ModeX, was built, thanks to which an infectious disease clinic was constructed in just 3 weeks. Additionally, 15 hospitals were built.
Since the borders were closed, our engineering and technical workers carried out the commissioning work instead of foreign specialists. The pandemic showed that we are capable of doing what foreigners do. Time has shown that we succeeded.
These circumstances fundamentally changed my attitude towards the construction industry and sparked a passion for my work. Therefore, I hope that construction will gain momentum, and that Kazakhstan will be recognized worldwide for its unique buildings and structures. We have all the opportunities for this. In this regard, I want to mention that despite difficulties and obstacles, academician Kanysh Satpayev diverted the waters of the Irtysh River to the Saryarka steppe and built a canal in the interests of the country. His persistent work is invaluable. I also want to leave a mark on my life's path that will benefit the people.
Study and work hard. The path to success is open!" shares Adat.
