Aliya Ospanova has been appointed as the head of the Center for International Programs, the administrator of the Bolashaq program.
She was born on August 15, 1987, in the city of Taldykorgan.
Ospanova is a graduate of the Kazakh-British Technical University, Imperial College (UK), and the Quantic School of Business and Technology (USA). She has held leadership positions in international organizations for over 10 years (Microsoft, Ericsson, RELX Group [Elsevier]), as well as in the public and quasi-public sectors, where she participated in the development of state programs for the advancement of education and science in the CIS countries. She has also been involved in transformation programs and several government initiatives aimed at improving university rankings and enhancing education in Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS.
She is an international expert in the field of education and science.
Ospanova is fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
She is married and has two children.
