Almas Kebekbaev, a graduate of the "Bolashak" program and founder of top.kz, exemplifies how investments in education can lead to impressive results.
While studying at American University in Washington, he acquired knowledge in computer science and mathematics, which helped him build a successful business in Kazakhstan. His company attracted 600 million tenge in foreign investments, paid the same amount in taxes, and created over 500 jobs. Top.kz plans further growth, entry into international markets, and significant expansion of its services, showcasing the potential and success of Kazakhstani IT entrepreneurs.
Ten years ago, the government invested 30 million tenge in my education. During this time, I built a business at home that attracted more than 600 million in foreign investments, paid the same amount in taxes, and created over 500 new jobs. In other words, 30 million brought more than a billion tenge to my country's economy. The state received 25 times more than it spent.
The next stage for my enterprise is exporting IT services. We plan to enter the markets of near and far abroad. Our goal is to build the largest marketplace for linear services in Kazakhstan: by 2027, we plan to grow tenfold, create more than 10,000 jobs, and bring a hundredfold return on investment to the country's economy.
Top.kz is a marketplace for services and goods, providing a full range of outsourcing services for auxiliary and non-core functions for corporate clients.
This includes full automation of business processes thanks to our own IT infrastructure and a team of developers. We don't just sell goods and services through a mobile application; we enable remote management of incidents and tasks and track task completion across all sites.
Every day, the top.kz platform serves more than 300 companies (450 thousand square meters nationwide). Each enterprise implements unique SLAs, KPIs, and standardized processes for a better customer experience," Almas shared.
