The meeting of the Chairwoman of the Board of JSC "Center for International Programs" A. Ospanova with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation in Kazakhstan S. Bal was held. During the discussion prospects of cooperation in the field of education and science were discussed.
Ambassador Salman Bal expressed deep interest in the "Bolashak" program and noted the international fame and authority of the presidential scholarship. The Ambassador confirmed the readiness to expand the cooperation of Swiss universities with the CIP and to hold joint events with Kazakhstani universities.
"Switzerland has a rich experience and best practices in education, my colleagues and I are convinced that the exchange of knowledge and experience will be mutually beneficial for our countries. Swiss universities are known in the world for strong programs in the direction of politics and security, international relations and diplomacy, business and management, economics, chemistry, biology, IT, architecture, tourism", - said the Ambassador of Switzerland.
Aliya Ospanova told about the programs administered by the CIP: "Bolashak" scholarship, "500 scientists" scientific internships, intergovernmental grants, "Study in Kazakhstan" program. The Chairwoman of the Board proposed to expand the list of Swiss research centers and universities-partners of the CIP, to consider different organizations for internships. For example, many international socio-political and economic organizations are located in Geneva.
Also A.Ospanova informed about the instruction of the Head of State K.Tokayev to provide an opportunity for Kazakhstani scientists to undergo internships abroad on post-doctoral programs.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to hold an online meeting with representatives of Swiss universities, research institutes and scientists from Kazakhstan, as well as to organize an event with graduates of universities in Switzerland.
