PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CONSORTIUM OF AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES

As part of the continued development of international cooperation, the leadership of the Center for International Programs held an important meeting with representatives of the Institute of International Education (IIE) and a consortium of leading American universities.

The CIP leadership presented the international programs administered by the center to the American delegation.

Key representatives of the IIE attended the meeting, including Sylvia Jones, Director of the International Partnership Center; Athena Louisa Lao, Program Development Manager; Joel Erickson, and others.

During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in the areas of research internships, master's, and doctoral studies through the Bolashak program were discussed, including the inclusion of some universities in the Bolashak program list for academic training and research internships, as well as other initiatives.

Particular attention was given to the fact that the IIE actively conducts webinars with the participation of American universities. In the near future, the Center for International Programs will take part in one of these webinars, which will further strengthen cooperation and inform potential applicants about available opportunities.

"We are pleased to support the Center for International Programs in streamlining the application process for research internships. Our experts will prepare detailed guidelines that will help candidates better navigate the requirements and procedures. This will be an important step in expanding access for Kazakhstani scholars to international educational opportunities," noted Sylvia Jones, Director of the International Partnership Center at the Institute of International Education.

The universities whose representatives participated in the meeting are leaders in the fields of engineering, medicine, entrepreneurship, and research:

  1. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Ranked highly in aerospace engineering. The university is also renowned for its leading programs in piloting and aviation safety.

  2. Purdue University - A global leader in agriculture and biological sciences, ranked 89th in the overall QS ranking. The university is known for its innovations in engineering and its collaboration with NASA.

  3. University of California, Davis - Recognized as one of the world's top universities in ecology and biological sciences, ranked 130th in the QS ranking. UC Davis is known for its research in sustainable development and active environmental protection.

  4. Penn State University - Consistently ranks high in the overall QS ranking (89th). The university is renowned for its advanced research and a strong global alumni network.

  5. Ohio University - The university is known for its strong programs in medicine and sustainable development.

  6. University of Connecticut - The university is known for its programs in entrepreneurship and engineering.

  7. The University of Connecticut stands out for its strong research programs, environmental sustainability, and wide international opportunities for students.

  8. Lehigh University - Specializes in engineering, business, and technology. Lehigh University is known for its strong engineering programs, innovations in business, and close integration of academic training with practical projects.

  9. Metropolitan State University of Denver - The university is known for affordable quality education, strong industry ties, and opportunities for students to gain practical experience through partnerships with local businesses and organizations.

  10. University of Nebraska at Omaha - Known for its strong programs in IT, business, and public service, as well as close cooperation with urban and state institutions, allowing students to gain practical experience and develop their careers.

  11. Boise State University - Known for innovative programs in business and engineering, strong support for startups and entrepreneurship, as well as active student life and the success of its sports teams.

This meeting confirmed the importance of international collaboration for the development of Kazakhstani science and education and opens new horizons for students and scholars in our country.
