PREPARING RURAL YOUTH THROUGH “BOLASHAK”

Today in Akkol, Akmola Region, Chairwoman of the Board of JSC “Center for International Programs” Aliya Ospanova held a career guidance seminar for young residents of rural areas, organized by the “Auil” party. The event also featured speeches by the head of the “Auil Zhastary” youth wing of the “Auil” party, Dauren Razymbek, and Deputy Akim of Akkol District, Sayat Akhmedzhanov, who emphasized the importance of educational opportunities for regional youth.

In her presentation, Aliya Ospanova outlined the special conditions provided by the “Bolashak” program for rural candidates, making studying abroad more accessible to young talents from rural areas.

“Even in the most remote parts of Kazakhstan, one can obtain a world-class education. The government places special emphasis on supporting rural youth through priority categories in the ‘Bolashak’ program, providing significant opportunities for talented individuals,” noted Aliya Ospanova.

The “Bolashak” program offers flexible conditions for rural candidates applying for master’s programs:

  • No requirement to obtain an invitation from a foreign university
  • Minimal foreign language proficiency requirements
  • Language courses provided (9 months in Kazakhstan and 3 months abroad)

This year, the Center for International Programs actively conducted informational outreach, organizing visits and meetings with youth in regions across the country. Thanks to this systematic approach, interest among applicants for the rural quota has significantly increased.

Aliya Ospanova encouraged seminar participants to share the information with teachers, friends, and family so that more young people from rural areas can take advantage of this unique opportunity.

The seminar also included discussions on intergovernmental educational grants offered by Hungary and China—255 and 150 places, respectively, for Kazakhstani students each year. Additionally, similar grants are available from Poland, Vietnam, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan, and negotiations are currently underway with Canada and Singapore to launch similar programs.
