ROMANIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS FOR 2024-2025

The Embassy of Romania is pleased to announce the launch of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year for international students.

Application Period: Candidates must submit their unique online application for the scholarship from January 16, 2024, to March 16, 2024.

Application Platform: Candidates can access the online platform at https://studyinromania.gov.ro by clicking the «Apply for MFA Scholarship» button, or directly at https://scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro. The platform is available in both English and French.

Important Notes:

Applications submitted directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education, or via email to MFA staff or Romanian diplomatic missions, will not be considered.
Candidates must create an account on the «Study in Romania» online platform, complete the requested information, and upload the necessary documents.
Scholarship results will be announced by email on July 15, 2024. Note that scholarships are not awarded in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.

Eligibility and Program Details:

The scholarship is available to international students from non-EU countries.
Programs offered: Bachelor's (3-6 years), Master's (1-2 years), and Doctoral (3-5 years).
To promote Romanian language and culture, bachelor's and master's students will study exclusively in Romanian. Doctoral students may choose to study in either Romanian or a foreign language as defined by their doctoral program. For those not fluent in Romanian, a preparatory year to learn Romanian is provided before starting university, except for doctoral students who choose the foreign language option.

Scholarship Amounts:

Bachelor's: €65 per month
Master's: €75 per month
Doctoral: €85 per month

Application Process: Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Study in Romania platform. The application period begins on January 16, 2024.

Deadline for Applications: March 16, 2024.
