During the state visit of Kazakhstan’s President K. Tokayev to Singapore, the National University of Singapore (NUS), representing the Asia Research Institute (ARI), and the Center for International Programs JSC (CIP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Tim Bunnell, Director of ARI, and Abai Rakhmet, Deputy Chairman of the CIP.
The primary goal of this agreement is to strengthen cooperation in research and development in the fields of humanities and social sciences, as well as to study interactions between Central and Southeast Asia. The agreement aims to foster collaborative projects, exchange postdoctoral researchers, and enhance research potential.
