START OF DOCUMENT ACCEPTANCE FOR THE VIETNAMESE INTERGOVERNMENTAL GRANT

On April 29, 2024, the acceptance of applications for undergraduate studies in the Republic of Vietnam will begin as part of the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Applications will be accepted online through the «Electronic Government» portal – eGov.kz or in person at the office of the Center for International Programs (CIP) in Astana from 9:00 AM on April 29, 2024, to 6:30 PM on June 12, 2024.

For Kazakhstani citizens, 3 grants are available under the "Undergraduate" educational program.

The grant covers the following expenses:

  • Free tuition;
  • Free accommodation;
  • Monthly stipend.

The language of instruction will be Vietnamese. One-year preparatory Vietnamese language courses are provided at educational institutions in Vietnam.

The selection process conducted on the Kazakhstani side includes the following stages:

  1. Conducting personal interviews with candidates by members of the independent expert commission, including online;
  2. Review of candidate materials and decision-making by the Final Commission.

The main criteria for selecting candidates are:

  1. Proficiency in the foreign language on a point-based system;
  2. Average grade on the educational document on a point-based system;
  3. Assessment by the Independent Expert Commission.

To participate in the competition, you must complete the application form. When filling out the form, you need to select a university from the list. You can view the list of specialties on the chosen university's website.

To submit documents through the «Electronic Government» portal, you will need an electronic digital signature (EDS), which can be obtained remotely. You can find instructions for obtaining EDS online at eGov.kz. If you encounter difficulties with electronic services, you can contact the virtual operator at the previous link or use the free call service at Contact Center number 1414.

After obtaining EDS, you will need to submit documents through eGov.kz. Instructions for submitting documents online can be found at YouTube.

According to clause 17 of the Rules, when selecting candidates for studying abroad under international treaties/agreements, priority is given (in the following order) to:

  1. Orphans and children without parental care;
  2. Individuals with disabilities from childhood and children with disabilities who, according to medical reports, are not contraindicated for studying at foreign educational institutions, provided with a medical certificate (for going abroad) in form No. 072;
  3. Children from large families;
  4. Candidates from rural areas who have lived in rural areas for the last 2 (two) years;
  5. Candidates with invitations from foreign educational institutions and those currently studying at foreign educational institutions.

According to subparagraph 4) of paragraph 21, the winner of the competition is required to return to the Republic of Kazakhstan after completing academic studies abroad and to undertake continuous employment for a period of 1 (one) year.
