Under the intergovernmental agreements between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Kazakhstani citizens have the opportunity to pursue higher education in leading universities in China.
China is one of the most popular destinations for studying abroad globally. In fact, China ranks third after the USA and the UK in terms of the number of international students. The Chinese Government offers 155 scholarships for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs.

Some of the top universities in China include Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Fudan University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and many others. These universities are ranked high in international rankings such as QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education. The programs offered cover a wide range of fields: from architecture, civil engineering, information technology to medicine, social, and humanities sciences.
The application deadline for studying in China has been extended to February 20, 2024 (inclusive). Applications can be submitted via the «Electronic Government» portal (Egov.kz) or offline at the «Center for International Programs» office (Astana, Syganak 70). Applicants for the competitive selection process in China must complete online registration on the Chinese Scholarship Council website by February 20, 2024.
