UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH: LEADING PROGRAMS IN ENGINEERING, HEALTHCARE, AND SCIENCE

A meeting was held at the Center for International Programs office with representatives from the University of Pittsburgh (USA), including Randall Halle, Director of the Center for European Studies, and Nancy Condee, Director of the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and opportunities for Kazakhstani students to study at the University of Pittsburgh through the Bolashak program and scientific internships.

The University of Pittsburgh representatives shared information about the high level of teaching, innovative research, and the wide range of academic programs offered by the university.

Pittsburgh is renowned for its programs in medicine, engineering, business, humanities, and social sciences, with a strong emphasis on research in healthcare, science, and technology.

Professor Randall Halle noted, «We are pleased to strengthen our cooperation with Kazakhstan and provide students from your country with access to our leading educational and research programs.»

Through the Bolashak program, 52 students have already studied at the University of Pittsburgh. Among them, 20 students completed medical specialties, 17 in technical fields, 14 in humanities, and 1 in social sciences. Additionally, 3 students completed scientific internships in technical physics, education, and history.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to further strengthen cooperation and expand opportunities for Kazakhstani students and scholars, including Bolashak programs and scientific internships.
