WHERE TO INTERN IN THE FIELD OF WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT?

A meeting was held at the Center for International Programs with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Central Asia, Nico Schermers.

During the meeting, the prospects for deepening cooperation in the fields of scientific research and education were discussed. The Bolashak program, the «500 visiting scholars» scientific internships, and other opportunities for Kazakhstani students to receive education in the Netherlands were presented as part of the discussion.

Special attention was given to cooperation in the field of water resources, which is a key topic for both parties. The IHE Delft Institute for Water Education was highlighted as a potential partner for Kazakhstani researchers and students interested in studying water resource management, water supply and sanitation, ecosystems, and water quality.

Ambassador Nico Schermers expressed confidence that joint efforts will contribute to strengthening international ties and knowledge exchange:

«We are pleased to support initiatives that open up new opportunities for the exchange of experience and knowledge between our countries. Cooperation with the Center for International Programs will contribute to the training of world-class specialists in Kazakhstan».

As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to consider including the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the list of recommended organizations and universities for scientific internships. This will open new horizons for Kazakhstani scientists and students, providing them with the opportunity to study and work at leading international institutions.
