«500 VISITING SCHOLARS»: ALMATY RESEARCHER DEVELOPS COOLING SYSTEMS WITHOUT ELECTRICITY IN JAPAN

100 EDUCATIONAL GRANTS FOR STUDY IN THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

Starting May 20, 2024, applications will be accepted for studying at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan under the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Applications are accepted online through the «Electronic Government» portal – eGov.kz or in person at the Center for International Programs (CIP) office in Astana from 9:00 AM on May 20, 2024, to 6:30 PM on June 13, 2024.

100 grants are allocated for Kazakh citizens:

MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM CONSTRUCTOR UNIVERSITY

Today, the Center for International Programs hosted a meeting with a delegation from Constructor University, located in Fegesack, Bremen, Germany. The delegation included the University’s Managing Director, Thomas Auf der Heyde, who is also the Vice President for International Affairs and Public Relations, and Irada Hageg, the Director of International Public Relations.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the areas of the «500 visiting scholars» scientific internships and the «Bolashak» program. Currently, 13 individuals are undergoing research internships at the university.

CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS AND ERASMUS MC SIGN MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION IN MEDICINE

The Center for International Programs, the administrator of the «Bolashak» presidential scholarship and the «500 visiting scholars» scientific internships, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Erasmus MC, a leading medical center of Erasmus University in the Netherlands. 11 Kazakhstanis Recommended for Studies at Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Poland

Under the chairmanship of the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Dinara Shcheglova, a meeting of the Final Commission for intergovernmental grants was held.

By the decision of the Final Commission, 11 Kazakhstanis have been recommended for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs at leading universities in Poland.

The final decision on awarding the educational grants will be made by the Polish side.

The grant covers the costs of academic education, and students in the doctoral program will receive a monthly stipend. Education will be conducted in Polish.

START OF DOCUMENT ACCEPTANCE FOR THE VIETNAMESE INTERGOVERNMENTAL GRANT

On April 29, 2024, the acceptance of applications for undergraduate studies in the Republic of Vietnam will begin as part of the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Applications will be accepted online through the «Electronic Government» portal – eGov.kz or in person at the office of the Center for International Programs (CIP) in Astana from 9:00 AM on April 29, 2024, to 6:30 PM on June 12, 2024.

LANGUAGE PROGRAMS, UNIVERSITY BRANCH OPENINGS: WHAT AGREEMENTS WERE REACHED DURING THE UK FOREIGN SECRETARY'S VISIT

During the official visit of UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron to Astana, several memorandums were signed aimed at promoting the Kazakh language and establishing branches of British universities in Kazakhstan.
